The 2017 Michigan Kids Count Data Book analyzes 15 indicators of child well-being to compare how children are doing around the state.  This year, Manistee County ranked  74th out of the 82 counties in Michigan for overall child well-being.  We currently rank 79th in 3 and 4 year olds in preschool and in non-proficient 3rd graders in English Language Arts. Manistee County ranks 79th out of 79 observed counties in students not graduating on time.
